Essential Oils During Miscarriage

Not gonna lie. I’m trying to stay positive but I am really struggling! I’ve done this 8 times before but for some reason this miscarriage has definitely been a more difficult and drawn out than most of my previous losses. So in an effort to heal through talking, focus on the good, and maybe help somebody else out there, I wanted to share some things that are making a big difference from me.

I only had to take Ibuprofen three times in six days. In the past I’d resorted to Vicodin for pain!! It was HUGE to me to have non-pharmaceutical options because not only did they help with pain, but they were healing emotionally as well. People think essential oils are a joke, but guys, this stuff is as real as that prescription another person relies on (MORE real I’d say, considering the living source, vs lab creation). They are powerful and potent. But it’s absolutely a matter of quality oils and using them properly. There are so many options, but these are what I chose and what helped me immensely.

Copaiba- I used this topically in a roller blend as well as in capsules (I would only ever take YL oils in capsules because I can guarantee their quality, purity, and sourcing, and they are the only GRAS essential oil brand). Ever heard of a “morphine bomb”? This is one of the constituents. It is a powerful anti-inflammatory and analgesic. But I also used it aromatically for depression. Win win, in this case.

Vetiver- I added this to my roller blend because it is known as an oil of tranquility. It can be helpful with stress and emotional trauma, but it is also relaxing and calming. So this is another that benefited me topically (for pain) as well as aromatically (mentally/emotionally).

Clary sage- Another addition to my roller blend, this is like a #1 female oil as it has antispasmodic, soothing and sedative properties which are very helpful for painful cramping and hormonal misery.

I alternated adding in Panaway and Deep Relief for pain, as well. Both of these help me on a regular basis for any aches, pains, or injuries, so naturally I turned to them for this as well.

In my diffuser, I was regularly adding oils like White Angelica, lemon, orange, grapefruit…the uplifiting, anxiety lowering, depression fighting scents, and usually put them in with blends like Valor, SARA, Peace & Calming, or StressAway. The fastest way to access the limbic system (emotions!) is via the olfactory system, so being proactive about what I was “smelling”- as silly as it sounds- was actually a measure of treatment and healing.

I am focusing on blood building via diet and supplements (MultiGreens, chlorophyll, etc), and have been taking Sulfurzyme regularly as well as using Endoflex. In a few days I’ll get back to being regular with taking Thyromin (no longer need a thyroid medication!) and Progessence+ to help me balance my endocrine system and hormones. That makes a HUGE difference.

I’m so grateful for these options and for, once again, what they’ve provided for me. When I say that this journey has been an answer to prayer, I mean that literally.
